Description

Kunzea ericoides, commonly known as Kānuka, is a native New Zealand  evergreen shrub or small tree with a slender, upright growth habit. It typically reaches heights of 5 to 10 meters depending on location and local growing conditions.

The plant has small, needle-like leaves that give it a fine texture, resembling those of heather. The leaves are arranged in opposite pairs along the stems. Kānuka produces small, white to cream-colored flowers in clusters, which bloom in late spring to early summer. These flowers attract pollinators, such as bees and butterflies.

Kānuka provides habitat and food for native birds and insects. Its flowers are a valuable nectar source for pollinators. Often used in revegetation projects.

Prefers full sun and is slightly frost tolerant.

Plants supplied are in 5cm pots and average one year in age.
