Description
Hebe ‘Wiri Prince’ features lance-shaped leaves with a glossy, deep green hue. During the summer months, ‘Wiri Prince’ produces striking spikes of vibrant purple flowers in summer.
Quick growing and can be easily pruned to maintain the plants shape. Will get to 1m to 1.5m in height so needs space and regular pruning helps to maintain shape.
Easy to grow, likes full or part sun, hardy.
When planting multiple ‘Wiri Prince’ plants, use a spacing of approximately 0.8 to 1 meter to allow for proper air circulation and growth.
While ‘Wiri Prince’ is relatively drought-tolerant once established, regular watering during dry spells is recommended. Avoid waterlogged conditions to prevent root rot. Hebe specios atypes can struggle in humid Auckland and northland summers with downy mildew so more suited to dryer areas. Will grow in coastal gardens.
Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape and encourage bushier growth.
Plants supplied are in 5cm pots and average one year in age.
