Description

Hebe elliptica has glossy green leaves that are lance-shaped. In late spring and early summer, Hebe elliptica produces clusters of small, tubular, white to light purple flowers.   This hebe typically grows as a dense, rounded shrub, reaching a height of about 1 to 2 meters.

Hebe elliptica’s attractive foliage and compact form make it an excellent choice for landscaping in New Zealand gardens. It can be used to create borders, hedges, or as a backdrop for other flowering plants. Pruning after flowering will help to maintain it as a hedge.

Due to its tolerance for coastal conditions, Hebe elliptica is well-suited for gardens near the coast. It can withstand salt spray and thrive in the sandy soils often found in these areas.  Hebe elliptica is relatively low-maintenance, requiring well-draining soil and occasional pruning to maintain its shape. Regular watering is essential, especially during dry periods, but it generally does not demand excessive care.

Plants supplied are in 5cm pots and average one year in age.
