Carex tenuiculmis, commonly known as slender sedge, is a perennial grass-like plant belonging to the Cyperaceae family
Carex tenuiculmis thrives in moist to wet soils, making it suitable for gardens with well-draining soil or those prone to occasional waterlogging. It is often found in riparian areas such as wetland margins. It is a good choice for gardens near streams or water features. The plant is hardy and can withstand both full sun and partial shade.
The leaves have a nice red – brown colour, it usually grows 50 to 70cm tall but can get up to 1m in certain conditions.
