Carex appressa, also known as  “Tall Sedge”  is a  New Zealand and Australian  grass-like plant that adds both aesthetic and ecological value to gardens. It typically grows in clumps and can reach a height of up to 1 meter. The leaves are slender, strap-like, and often arch gracefully, providing a visually appealing texture.

Carex appressa thrives in well-drained soil but can tolerate periods of waterlogging but wont grow in permanently wet ground.

It prefers full sun to partial shade, making it suitable for various garden settings. Its arching foliage adds a soft and graceful touch to garden borders, rockeries, or as a ground cover.

Plants supplied are in 5cm pots.
