Poa cita – commonly known as silver tussock or silver grass, is a native grass species in New Zealand. Belonging to the Poaceae family, this ornamental grass is renowned for its distinctive silver-gray foliage, fine texture, and graceful appearance.

Typically ranges from 1 to 1.5 meters with a fine silvery-gray, fine-textured leaves create an attractive and airy appearance. Delicate panicles of small, inconspicuous flowers during the flowering season.

Tolerant of cool temperatures and can withstand frosts.  Prefers well-drained soils.

Thrives in full sun but can tolerate partial shade.

Poa cita’s silver-gray foliage adds a striking contrast to greenery in garden beds.
