Description
Lavandula stoechas ‘Major’ also known as French/Spanish Lavender. It is a compact, typically grows to a height of 50cm. Distinctive bracts on the flower spikes, giving it a unique appearance. Flowers are intense shades of purple.
A hardy lavender , thrives in full sun and suited for dryer areas. Plant in a location with well-draining soil to prevent waterlogging.
Moderate water needs. Allow the soil to dry out between watering to prevent root rot.
Regular pruning is recommended after flowering to maintain a compact shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove spent flowers to promote continuous blooming.
Lavandula stoechas ‘Major’ is a suitable in pots, a rockery or as a low border.
Plants supplied are in 5cm pots and average one year in age.
