It is often used in revegetation projects dues to its ability to grow in poor soil.  Kanuka is well-suited for New Zealand’s temperate climate, it thrives in well-drained soils but can tolerate a variety of soil types. Prefers full sunlight but can tolerate partial shade.  Slightly frost tolerant.

Attracts birds and insects, contributing to biodiversity in the garden.
