20 x Fuscospora solandrii, commonly known as Black Beech is a native tree.  It is an attractive tree growing into a well-structured attractive shape.  The green rounded leaves  are approximately 2-4 cm long, displaying a glossy dark green color during the growing season. The bark is smooth and light gray when young, gradually becoming rough and fissured as the tree matures.

Description

Fuscospora solandrii, commonly known as Black Beech is a native tree.  It is an attractive tree growing into a well-structured attractive shape.  The green rounded leaves  are approximately 2-4 cm long, displaying a glossy dark green color during the growing season. The bark is smooth and light gray when young, gradually becoming rough and fissured as the tree matures.

Inconspicuous flowers appear in spring, followed by small, three-winged seed capsules.

Prefers well-draining soil but is adaptable to a variety of soil types. Slightly acidic to neutral soils are ideal. Thrives in full sun to partial shade and is  reasonably wind tolerant.

Fuscospora solandrii can be used as a striking specimen tree, particularly in larger gardens, parks, or open spaces.
